We are looking for a Lead Audio and Video Engineer to help build Vowel’s Audio/Video infrastructure to ensure the highest standards in stability and performance and implement key features across our platform, including real-time audio and video streaming, network / infrastructure management and optimization, scaling our SFU and signaling infrastructure, and key RTC features across our web, mobile, and desktop apps.

I’m a Fullstack Software Engineer who brings a passion for solving problems and delivering results through code! I’m constantly learning new things and getting to apply them to interesting problems. My latest work developing Sentinel, an open-source, self-hosted, platform as a service, is a great example of doing just that.
I’m really proud of leading the design of Sentinel’s core architecture which provides the flexibility to be deployed in any cloud provider. This involved automating the configuration and provisioning of compute instances with Terraform and Ansible. I also played a significant role in developing Sentinel’s command line interface using the OCLIF framework and TypeScript, as well as designing a RESTful API written in Node.js, and much more!
