Hi HN, I am Ahmed. I was at the end of my energy engineering degree when the infamous oil price dropped and took the entire job market down the chasm. Then I had take the decision to study CS with a minor in DS… then COVID happened. Anyway, I am in my final year, and I have been been running a small VA and Social Media Management firm for a while.

Over this period, I have worked with real estate, property management firms as a social media manager, but I am hoping to move to software sales or data driven software development or in the unlikeliest scenario something that merges both energy+cs+sales!

What I want

A entry level role under a technically competent and empathatic leadership. I want to join team where I can learn, rely and apply. If you are quick to say, “This task to should be easy.” or “I could have done it myself”, please don’t waste your time with me. I have worked with enough people who just demand things and is not willing to hear. I want to join a team where I can ask without feeling shame.

A team that is open to regular video chat reports/discussions, pair programming, collaborative coding and providing geniune support for growth. A team where I feel great to be a part of and probably even get performance bonuses and yearly raises. I know I am asking for a lot, but that is where I draw the line. 🙂

Who Am I

I have been freelancing in python development, browser automation, web scraping, data analytics using Pandas, Web Development using Flask+Vue for 5 years now with over 60 projects delivered.

I am looking to join a Data first full time contract junior level role in Data Analytics or Data Engineering. I don’t get to work with SQL or Cloud services often but I am confident in my ability to work with them on a daily basis and have experience with Bigquery and AWS S3.

Whilst I am a strong technical contributor, I’m also interested in leadership, mentorship and learning. My favourite challenge recently has been leading a highly motivated and skilled team of SWE, AI Researchers and Data Scientists. I’m interested in a position where I can continue working with strong co-workers and help mould and lead strong, productive and happy teams.
I also love learning and being surrounded by people from different backgrounds and fields to me. I’ve had exposure to bio-tech and NLP, but would also be interested in other ML fields, robotics, health, eco/green energy, and probably more.
