Full-stack Engineer here, hi. I’m looking to join a team dealing with Payments because I’m fascinated and curious about stringing together the complexities of money movement. I’m open to join a team who is working on anything new that’s growing, because, even more than legacy payments, scaling out value to the masses gets my passion hyped-up.. which for me is good fuel for good work.

20+ years a web dev, 10+ years in Silicon Valley; startup experience and FAANG experience, sprinkled with experience as a developer at marketing agencies.

My hard skills is why you hire me, my soft skills is why you choose me.
Full cycle software development is what I do–I encourage you to scope out my skills on LinkedIn and test me on them in our interview rounds. What makes me unique is my creative problem solving abilities, my confidence to take a leap with foresight, and how I interact with the team.

The last three years, since leaving my FAANG role, I’ve done a deep dive on Emotional Intelligence. I thought I had emotional intelligence before, but really I only had the half of it–turns out, emotional management is just as important as empathy.

I’m an individual contributor engineer, through and through. So that you can a sense of where my attention gravitates towards, I’m also interested in Sales Engineering (as an interest, not a career), talent scouting, mentoring, and Bitcoin, non-exclusively.

Email me for work opportunities that are open now.
Also, feel free to email me for possible opportunities to work together in the future.

Thank you. Cheers.

Hi, I’m Dan and I’m looking to return to software development after a very long break (~10 years). During this break, I worked as a self-employed investor on the stock market, but in the end I failed.

In my previous tech life I did a four year IT apprenticeship (Pascal/Delphi, Java) in the industry, worked two years as a software engineer (ASP) at a web agency, got a B.Eng. in CS (mainly Java), did some freelancing (PHP), was a core-contributor to two open source projects (PHP), and wrote a tech blog.

For my comeback I’m looking for a job as a Rust developer (if you have a “return to work” program, all the better). On the other hand, I’m also open for opportunities related to what I did the last 10 years.

Thanks for reading.
