Travis Kelce asked if he's 'in love' with Taylor Swift, addresses relationship 'status'

Travis Kelce still isn’t confirming whether he’s dating Taylor Swift.

The pair has been spotted holding hands, and, after a recent game, Swift was photographed kissing Kelce on the cheek.

It is all but official, and because nothing has been formally announced, a reporter asked Kelce what their “latest status” was.

Kelce was characteristically vague on the subject.

“The latest status is I got to see her last week,” he said during a press conference in Germany Friday.

But the reporter bumped it up a notch, asking the Kansas City Chiefs tight end if he was “in love.”

No bite.

“I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal,” he said.

It’s also become apparent that when Swift is at a Chiefs game, Kelce makes fantasy owners very happy — or upset if you’re going against him.

In the three games Kelce has played that Swift has missed, the tight end has just 151 receiving yards, about 50 a game. In the four she’s attended, he’s averaging 108 yards per game. The last two games Swift attended, she saw Kelce catch 21 passes for 303 yards and a touchdown.

It’s a trend that’s become noticeable, especially in the gambling world. That’s why Kelce keeps silent on whether his rumored girlfriend will be attending games.

“When I mention or everybody knows that she’s at the game, the Vegas, the over/under on my catches kind of goes up and down, the spread goes up and down. I don’t want to mess with any of that stuff, so I’m just going to keep it to myself,” he said.

The Chiefs are in Germany this weekend to face the Miami Dolphins. It’s unlikely Swift will be in attendance since she will go international with her Eras Tour in Argentina Nov. 9.

It will be the second NFL game played in Germany.

Kirk Herbstreit's son, an Ohio State tight end, 'in good spirits' after hospitalization with heart 'issues'

Zak Herbstreit, the son of Kirk Herbstreit and a current tight end at Ohio State, is home from the hospital.

The 21-year-old was in stable condition with what his father called “some issues with his heart.”

The ESPN analyst said “the last five or six days have been kind of a whirlwind,” but things are trending upward for his son.

“He’s in good spirits, he’s home with us where his mom can take really good care of him,” the former quarterback told “The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.” This is just going to be a long process to kind of see how his heart responds to some of the medications that he’s on. This is a three- or four-month kind of thing to kind of see how it recovers. But the key is being patient and positive.”

The elder Herbstreit said the hospitalization “came out of nowhere,” and they initially thought he had pneumonia, but further testing showed otherwise.

“I really would encourage anybody who’s playing sports to go a little bit more than just doing your normal physical or even EKG wiring, that’s not really enough,” Kirk said, “The [echocardiogram] is what you really need to discover some things that potentially can be scary. We’re very fortunate that he got the echo and found some stuff. … He had very few symptoms. You would never know that he was dealing with what he’s dealing with.”

“I have had a bit of a setback these past couple of weeks. Not feeling right,” Zak said. “Culminated with tests results this past Friday that forced me into the hospital. I have some of the best cardiologists looking after me, and I am beyond appreciative. We are doing a number of tests and conjuring a plan to ensure that I will be able to be back to feeling normal again. I appreciate the overwhelming support over the past couple of days. I am feeling good and hope to be out of the hospital soon.”

Zak Herbstreit has been with the Buckeyes since 2021. He previously played tight end for Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a third-generation Ohio State football player; his grandfather, Jim Herbstreit, played running back, and his father started at quarterback from 1989 to 1993.

Ohio State is coming off an appearance in the College Football Playoff and will enter the upcoming season ranked as the No. 4 team in the country in the preseason coaches poll. The Buckeyes kick off the 2023 season on Sept. 2 against Minnesota.

Chris Sununu says he will decide on 2024 Republican presidential bid 'in the next week or two'

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said Sunday that he believes “there’s a pathway to win” the GOP presidential nomination and will decide “in the next week or two” whether he’ll run in 2024.

“When I start doing something, I’m 120% in,” Sununu said on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. “Pretty soon, we’ll make a decision, probably in the next week or two. And we’ll either be go or no-go.”

The remarks come after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., formally declared their presidential candidacies last week, officially challenging the front-runner, former President Donald Trump. 

“The money has been lined up, the support’s been lined up. There’s a pathway to win. All that – those boxes are checked. The family’s on board, which is always a big one. I just got to make sure it’s right for the party and right for me,” Sununu, serving his fourth term as New Hampshire governor, told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

DeSantis, whose long-anticipated announcement was marred by tech problems on Twitter, raised $8.2 million in the 24 hours since entering the race Thursday night, his campaign confirmed. That massive sum far exceeded the amount raised by President Joe Biden over the same period.

DeSantis formally launched his campaign Wednesday night during an online conversation with Twitter owner Elon Musk. But the audio stream crashed repeatedly, making it difficult for most users to hear the announcement in real time. 

On Thursday, the Republican governor announced plans for a three-state blitz next week featuring at least a dozen stops. He is scheduled to campaign Tuesday and Wednesday in Iowa before a trip to New Hampshire on Thursday, and South Carolina on Friday.

DeSantis is casting himself as the only legitimate Republican rival to Trump in the GOP’s crowded primary race, The former president currently holds a big lead in early polls along with a firm grip on a significant portion of the GOP’s passionate base. Yet Trump is plagued by his own baggage, which includes multiple legal threats and a fixation on his 2020 election loss.

Sununu has teased a 2024 presidential campaign for months, and has said he will likely decide in the early summer, following the conclusion of New Hampshire’s current legislative session and the signing of the state’s next two-year budget. Sununu supported Trump during the 2016 general election and again as the then-president unsuccessfully ran for re-election in 2020. The governor had a strong working relationship with the Trump White House, including close ties with Vice President Mike Pence.

However, Sununu has long pushed back against Trump’s unproven claims that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen.” He also started stating in early 2021 that the GOP is larger than any one person.
