Police have lifted a shelter-in-place order in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, after an active shooter killed at least three people and fled across state lines.
Authorities say that suspect Andre Gordon, 26, is currently barricaded, with hostages, inside a residence in Trenton, New Jersey. He is believed to be armed and extremely dangerous, according to the Falls Township Police Department.
“Police are asking residents to lock all doors and move to a central and secure location away from windows,” the department said. The shelter-in-place order was lifted at around 12:25 p.m.
At around 8:52 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to investigate reports of a shooting at the unit block of Viewpoint Lane, Levittown. A preliminary investigation determined that Gordon allegedly shot and killed two individuals who live at the residence, according to Christopher Clark, an operations lieutenant with the Falls Township Police Department.

Clark said that following the shooting at around 9:01 a.m., Gordon went to the unit block of Edgewood Lane, where he allegedly shot and killed another individual before fleeing the scene. Approximately 12 minutes later, Gordon allegedly carjacked a victim at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Dollar General in Bristol Pike, Morrisville. The carjacking victim suffered no injuries, according to police.
“It is believed that Gordon knew all of the victims (except the victim of the carjacking),” Clark said. “Gordon is believed to be currently homeless and has ties to the Trenton, New Jersey, area.”
The stolen vehicle Gordon allegedly drove is a 2016 dark gray Honda CRV, with Pennsylvania license plate KFR 1534 and a “Namaste” sticker in white lettering on the right side of the rear bumper. The vehicle was located at approximately 11:38 a.m., unoccupied, in the 100 block of Miller Street in Trenton, police said.

Police described Gordon as approximately 6’1″ with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and is believed to be in possession of a rifle. He may be in possession of other weapons as well, according to police.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said he has been briefed on the developing situation and has directed the Pennsylvania State Police to support local law enforcement.
“For those in the area, please continue to shelter in place and listen to law enforcement’s direction,” Shapiro said.
Authorities in neighboring Middletown Township said there have been confirmed shootings in Falls Township.
“There are several gun shot victims and it is unknown at this time if they are targeted or random,” the Middletown Township Police Department said. “MTPD is monitoring our traffic and borders, and it does not seem that the shooter has entered our township limits.”
Middletown Township police said this is a “fluid situation” and warned residents not to travel to Falls Township until further notice.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in an investigation.
“The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and other law enforcement officials are assisting the Falls Township Police Department in an active police investigation and are urging residents in the township to shelter-in-place. Report any suspicious activity to 911,” the DA’s office said.
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., who represents Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, said his office is monitoring the situation.
“There is an active shooter alert in Falls Township — we are monitoring a carjacking and a shooting in two sections of Falls Township,” Fitzpatrick posted on X. “I’m in touch with law enforcement officials as they pursue the suspect. More information to follow — please be alert of your surroundings and stay safe.”
The Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade was canceled due to the shelter-in-place order and several local businesses in the area have temporarily closed, FOX 29 Philadelphia reported.
Falls Township is located about 28 miles northeast of Philadelphia.

A man died in a shooting involving police in Nashua early Sunday morning, the New Hampshire attorney general said.

A 31-year-old Lyft driver survived Afghanistan but was shot and killed while driving in Washington D.C.
There has been growing outrage over the death of Nasrat Ahmad Yar who had served as an interpreter for the U.S. Army Special Forces in Afghanistan. In 2021, he fled the country with his wife and four children after the fall of the Afghan government to the Taliban.
“It’s clear that we abandoned our allies when we engaged in that botched pull-out from Afghanistan,” “Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno said Friday. “And it’s clear that we continue to abandon them.”
“By we I mean, again, that person in the Oval Office who has abandoned people like Yar.”
WASHINGTON DC LYFT DRIVER SHOT AND KILLED AS SUSPECTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA FLEEING SCENE
Yar was finishing up a late-night shift of driving for the rideshare company Lyft, before he was shot in Washington, D.C., just after midnight Monday.
“Our hearts are with Mr. Nasrat’s loved ones as they confront this unspeakable tragedy,” a Lyft spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Thursday. “We have reached out to his family to offer our support and are in contact with law enforcement to assist with their investigation.”
The Metropolitan Police Department said in a press release that just after midnight Monday, officers responded to the 400 block of 11th Street, Northeast, for reports of an unconscious person.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man, later identified as Yar, of Alexandria, Virginia, who was the victim of a shooting inside a vehicle.
“It does raise the issue that not only is crime such a problem here, our government doesn’t care because if they did, this guy wouldn’t be hurting the way he was,” Fox News anchor Julie Banderas said on “Outnumbered” Friday.
VIOLENCE SOARS AMID DC POLICE CRISIS AS 5 KILLED IN JUST 1 DAY
CBS station WUSA in Washington, D.C., reported that Ahmad Yar served as an interpreter for the U.S. Army Special Forces in Afghanistan. In 2021, he escaped with his wife and four children after the fall of the Afghan government to the Taliban.
“Outnumbered” co-host Kayleigh McEnany emphasized the importance of underscoring what it means to be an Afghan interpreter.
“This is someone who is not a citizen of the United States, but puts their life on the line in Taliban Afghanistan to help the United States, to make sure our country remains free by working with our service members hand in hand,” she said.
“This guy put his life on the line, came here for the American dream and what’d he get? His 15-month-old baby left fatherless. It is time for America to wrap this family in our arm,” McEnany added.
“Why aren’t our military service members being taken care of after they’ve given their lives?” Banderas questioned. “Many of them have given their lives, quite frankly. But I mean, they’ve sacrificed everything. And what thanks do they get?”
Ahmad Yar’s wife told the news station that she wanted him to come home after a night with friends, but because rent was due soon, he was determined to keep working. Moments later, he was shot and killed.

“It is devastating to hear of these people that have risked everything for the security and safety of our American freedom and our allies, just like Yar, only to be murdered in cold blood under the tacit approval of the person in the White House running everything okay-ing this all,” Compagno said.
Four individuals were captured on an outdoor Nest camera, fleeing the scene.
Metropolitan police shared the video on its website and asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals. The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Ahmad Yar’s murder.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099, or send an anonymous tip to the Tip Line by sending a text message to 50411.

Peru’s worst dengue outbreak on record could intensify further as an El Niño climate phenomenon brings torrential rains and mosquitoes, driving the death toll this year past 200 with over 130,000 recorded cases, the health ministry said on Thursday.
Dengue fever is an aedes aegypti mosquito-borne tropical disease that can provoke a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pain, and sometimes death.
The country’s health authorities have pointed towards the natural climate phenomenal, El Niño, as one of the key drivers of the surge in cases.
El Niño is a cyclical warming of the world’s oceans and weather, which fuels tropical cyclones in the Pacific, boosting rainfall and flood risk in the region. The increase in rainfall brings mass reproduction of mosquitoes due to the accumulation of water in the cities.

Peru’s health officials are prohibiting residents from storing still water in open containers, hoping to prevent reproduction.
“Dengue kills,” said Health Minister Rosa Gutiérrez in a Tuesday statement. “Because of that, help me eliminate mosquito breeding sites.”
On Thursday, June 8, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) declared that an El Niño is now underway. The past three years have been dominated by the cooler La Niña pattern.
